Salik and Darb toll rates in 2026

Dubai's Salik and Abu Dhabi's Darb charge by time of day. Salik prices include 5% VAT since 1 June 2026, and Darb has had no daily cap since 1 September 2025. Here's what each crossing costs and when.

Salik prices and peak hours (Dubai)

On Sundays every crossing costs AED 4.20, except from 1 to 6 am, when it's free. Before VAT the prices were AED 6 and AED 4.
Two pairs of gates are linked: Al Mamzar North and South, and Al Safa North and South. Pass both gates of a pair in the same direction within an hour and you pay once.
Salik during Ramadan
Salik uses a different timetable during Ramadan. In Ramadan 2026 the peak price applied from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Saturday, and crossings were free from 2 to 7 am. Check Salik's announcement before each Ramadan.

Abu Dhabi removed Darb's daily and monthly caps for private vehicles on 1 September 2025, so every peak-hour crossing costs AED 4. People of Determination, low-income families, senior citizens and retirees can still apply for exemptions.

What are Salik peak hours?
6–10 am and 4–8 pm, Monday to Saturday. A peak-hour crossing costs AED 6.30, VAT included.
How much is Salik outside peak hours?
AED 4.20 with VAT, from 10 am to 4 pm and 8 pm to 1 am, and all day on Sundays outside the free hours.
Is Salik free at night?
Yes. Crossings between 1 and 6 am are free every day.
When did VAT start on Salik?
On 1 June 2026. Peak crossings went from AED 6 to AED 6.30, and off-peak from AED 4 to AED 4.20.
Do I pay twice at Al Mamzar or Al Safa?
No. If you pass both Al Mamzar gates, or both Al Safa gates, in the same direction within an hour, Salik charges you once.
What are the Darb toll timings?
7–9 am and 3–7 pm, Monday to Saturday, at AED 4 per crossing. Darb is free at all other times, on Sundays and on official public holidays.
Does Darb still have a daily cap?
No. Abu Dhabi removed the daily and monthly caps for private vehicles on 1 September 2025.
